Do Not Fear

With the pandemic still going on. It is normal for us to feel some fear, after all, we see the suffering that this pandemic has caused; none of us wants to suffer like that.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we all have ways of reducing, and in some cases eliminating that fear.

Some fear is good; like the fear that prevents you from sticking your hand in a river with a crocodile.

What is not good, is that paralyzing; numbing fear, that prevents you from living your live, and has you up at night full of fret and worry.

This type of fear is not good, and is not from God.

As followers of Jesus, you have the power within you to remove that paralyzing fear.

Jesus does not want us to walk in fear, so He gave us scriptures to help us, that I will share with you now:

No Fear Scriptures

Psalm 91:1-13

Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear [a]involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

1 John 4:4
4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

1 Peter 5:6-8
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Satan is prowling around right now in the form of fear and panic.

Matthew 14:26-27
26 When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out [a]in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

God made us, and knows that we tend to be fearful at times.

God and His Son Jesus say “do not be afraid” 56 times in Scripture.

Romans 8:37-39
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Godly peace, is not the absence of chaos, but the reliance on a God who knows what's on the other side of this pandemic. God wants to walk alongside you during this challenging time, and give you His peace.

You see, God has a plan for your life that is already a reality, if you can believe and accept! If you believe that God is real, and sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins, then all you have to do is confess your sins to God, ask God to forgive you, then ask Jesus into your heart. When you can do that by faith, He will lead you to that wonderful life that He already has planned for you, and when your life on this earth is over, you will be able to spend your eternity in heaven with Him. This is truly the good news, in which we place our trust and find our joy.

God loves you!!
