“He will guide us until death.”
Where do we place our faith for direction and guidance? As young children it is our parents, as teenagers it is our peers (our parents become old fashioned with ancient ideas).
All goes well until we feel “lost.” In today’s world of technology we have a fantastic directional tool – the GPS. We place great faith in the navigation systems in our cars and
cell phones. Often it recalculates our route and instructs us to make a legal U turn as soon as possible. Then we pay close attention and listen very carefully for the solution to our
wrong turn. Doesn’t God do that for us too? If we only had the same faith in God’s Perfect Solution (the divine GPS)! We may not hear a “ding ding” like in our cars or on our
phones, but the urging of the Holy Spirit often lets us know that we need to “recalculateour route and make a legal U turn” (repentance). Listen… God wants to help you find
your destination.
Lead me, Lord, lead me in thy righteousness; make thy way plain before my face. Amen.
