“For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them.”

I believe today’s scripture can always serve as a gauge for how physically and spiritually balanced we are in Christ. Whenever we find ourselves afraid of people or not loving them, God’s living Word is telling us to rearrange our priorities. This may be nothing more than being still in God’s presence and listening to His still small voice. We can trust
Him to guide us to where we need to be in order to make this scripture come to life in each of us.

OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. FATHER, PLEASE HELP US TO NOT WANT LESS THAN THE BEST IN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. HELP US TO KEEP YOU FIRST, EVEN IN THE MUNDANE, THAT WE WILL BE READY TO EMBRACE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS WITH THE SAME LOVE YOU HAVE FOR US.
WE GIVE YOU THANKS FOR THIS NEW DAY YOU HAVE GIVEN US AND ASK THAT YOU HELP US LIVE IT IN A MANNER PLEASING IN THY SIGHT, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. AMEN.
