Then the Lord said, “There is a place near Me where you may stand on a rock.”

Have you ever felt weak and helpless? I have! One day, while on this adventure with cancer, I went to the doctor. As I stepped out of the car and onto the curb, I fell. I could not get up by myself. A man and his wife were coming out of the office and saw me fall. The man rushed over to me to help me get up. I told him I would be no help because my legs were just not working! Then he said words to me that I will never forget. He said, “You relax – I’ll lift you up.” What a beautiful picture of God’s desire to be our rock – our “lifter”.

DEAR FATHER, PLEASE HELP US TO ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT IT IS YOUR DESIRE TO BE OUR LIFTER, OUR ROCK, OUR STRENGTH. AMEN.
