“Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal.”

We may not always understand our pain and challenges in this life. We must have faith and know that God has lessons for us. He seeks to open our eyes and grow our compassion.
How can we feel empathy for others if we do not experience strife ourselves? The Good News is that we shall emerge from our trials stronger and more devoted to Him.

LORD, HELP US TO UNDERSTAND THAT EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS YOU HAVE FORSAKEN US AND OUR LOVED ONES, THAT YOU KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR DISCIPLINE. YOU DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON US, BUT ARE WITH US ALWAYS AND TEACH US AS PARENTS WILL GUIDE THEIR CHILDREN. BLESS US WITH EVER-DEEPENING FAITH THAT YOU KNOW WHICH LESSONS WILL HELP US TO HONOR YOU AND THOSE AROUND US. AMEN.
