“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Until recently, I did not really understand today’s scripture. I was reading it to say “all things are good in God.” Then, when difficulties came my way, bitterness and doubt easily followed. In the midst of a problem, God showed me that this verse doesn’t promise that all things will be good; it promises that in all things God works for our good. After I realized this, some of my greatest blessings came out of my worst problems because I was able to avoid bitterness and see the goodness of God already at work for me.

LOVING GOD, FORGIVE US WHEN WE OVERLOOK THE GOODNESS YOU ARE WORKING IN OUR LIVES. WE THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO, IN JESUS’ NAME WE PRAY. AMEN.
