He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

Just exactly where does the world begin? Is it in the mission field of a third-world country or right where we are? Of course, both of these answers are correct. Yet, all too often we tend to neglect where we are. Maybe we need to regularly read today’s scripture along with Matthew 25:35-36 as constant reminders. Preaching the “Good News” of Jesus Christ is not just organized efforts but it’s about reaching out in God’s love whenever we can. A kind word to a co-worker or inviting a neighbor to church is a good start. In my case, a simple letter from a pastor who cares made the difference. We never know when or where, that’s why we just need to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to
all creation.”

LORD, HELP US TAKE YOUR LOVE AND MESSAGE OF “GOOD NEWS” TO EVERYONE WE MEET. IN CHRIST’S NAME WE PRAY. AMEN.
