“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

“In whose eyes …that’s how many talents go unused and therefore are unsavored by others …” How that comment seared deeply into my conscience. Why do “talented” people hide their gifts? It is fear of rejection? No doubt, that inhibits most. However, where do their gifts originate? From their Creator, of course! Who is one supposed to please when he shares his gifts? God! Now, do fear and God ever share intersecting planes? I don’t think so! Thus, as true believers, we should suffer no apprehension in obediently sharing our God-given gifts and talents. For it is in His eyes and His eyes alone that we should seek approval.

GOD, HELP ME TO NOT BE FEARFUL, FOR FEAR IS NOT OF GOD. HELP ME GO FORTH BOLDLY AND SERVE. AMEN.
