“Let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us; and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.”
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up somewhere else.” That quote was taken from a cookbook and it made me think about our journey as Christians. So many times as we wander aimlessly, that still small voice plants snippets of scripture in our heads: … “fellow heirs with Christ” …”seated at the right hand of the throne of God” …”His only begotten Son”… “whosoever believes” … “eternal life.” Then we clearly see the signs to our destination: a Cross, a Savior, and a Promise. The gate is small and the way is narrow (Matthew 7:14); but we know whose we are and where we’re going! Praise God!
HEAVENLY FATHER, KEEP OUR EYES FOCUSED ON OUR SAVIOR, SO THAT WHEN OUR JOURNEY ENDS WE MAY SEE YOU FACE TO FACE. AMEN.
