And when the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom, and said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when men have drunk freely, then that which is poorer; you have kept the good wine until now.”

Miracles! They don’t happen anymore. Those things went on back then, but not now. These are words I have heard before. Jesus performed many miracles, today’s scripture reading being the first that we know of. In John’s writings, Jesus did not wave His hands over the wine, or say any words over it that we know of. He simply asked the server to let the host taste it. I’m telling you, miracles do happen every day, in my life and in yours. Look for the small ones, and the large ones will appear. Christ reveals Himself to us in miracles today, just as He did centuries ago. All you have to do is be open to Him and His word, and watch for the miracles. The smallest one will be the one that makes your faith grow the most.

LORD, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GRACE YOU GIVE ME SO I MIGHT LIVE FOR YOU. AMEN.
