“When the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
When I read this scripture, it really touched me. There was a period in my life when I experienced some really tough times, but I wasn’t close to God. One day I was devastated to the point of suicide and I remember someone saying to me in a hospital emergency room, “Have you tried praying to God and giving Him your burdens? He listens!” That same night in my room I remembered hearing that and I felt chills. I prayed and He listened. He answered my prayer and it was clear to see. I became closer to God. When I was in prison and feeling alone, I remembered, and I prayed again and He answered. I became even closer to God. If you believe in Jesus Christ, and live a Christian life, he will clothe you, feed you, shelter you and heal you.
THANK YOU, GOD, FOR BEING THERE IN MY DARKEST TIMES. AMEN.
