“God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good.”

“This is my Fathers World, and to my listening ears, All nature sings and round me rings the music of the spheres. This is my Fathers world: I rest me in the thought of rocks and trees, of skies and seas – His hand the wonders wrought.” (Malthie D. Babcock) As God completed each day of creation, he remarked “it was good.” When the world was complete, he created man and woman and gave them dominion over the earth. Sadly, mankind has abused this power of dominion and pollution of all kinds is prevalent today. This has not only destroyed the natural beauty, but also destroyed several species of wildlife making them extinct or near extinction. When we hear the word “stewardship,” we are inclined to interpret it only as it relates to money. Christian Stewardship acknowledges that all of life and creation is a trust from God. It includes the conservation and responsible use of natural resources. We must support every effort to reduce all manner of pollution to keep our planet in a state that will have God continue to say it is good! We must, for our children and their future generations, preserve Our Father’s World!

DEAR GOD, PLEASE HELP EACH OF US IN OUR OWN WAY TO PRESERVE THE BEAUTY OF YOUR EARTH EVER MINDFUL THAT IT WAS YOUR HAND THAT CREATED THIS BEAUTY AND THAT IN YOUR EYES IT WAS VERY GOOD! AMEN.
