“You created my inmost self, knit me together in my mother’s womb. For so many marvels I thank you; a wonder am I, and all your works are wonders.”

One of the most difficult things for me to do is to be in a crowd and be an unknown. Starting a new job, attending a large party where I only know the host, giving a presentation to a new class – these are giant tasks. I am so accustomed to being surrounded by people who know me that being unknown among strangers is in stark contrast. But how well does God know me! That wherever I am, with strangers or old friends, God knows my inmost self because he created me. God knows just how I am connected because He formed those connections. I am a wonder created by God! With that knowledge comes abundant confidence. I am never an unknown, for God is with me and knows me thoroughly.

DEAR GOD, YOU HAVE KNOWN ME FROM MY VERY BEGINNING. REMIND ME THAT I AM A WONDER OF YOUR CREATION, AND SHYNESS AND FEAR HAVE NO PLACE IN MY HEART. IN JESUS’ NAME. AMEN.
