“Then so let your light shine before men, in order that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.”
As a small child, one of the first songs I learned was “This Little Light Of Mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” Then in a production of the musical Godspell, an updated version was presented, “Light of The World.” Recently I read a piece from Nelson Mandela’s inaugural address when he was elected Prime Minister of South Africa. It speaks about each of us being a child of God, and that it is our responsibility to be outspoken and bright shining in our efforts. These are constant reminders that we are not meant to live in the shadows, but we are to enlighten the paths of others through the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
MAY THE LIGHT OF HEAVEN RADIATE FROM ME THROUGH MY ACCEPTANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN.
