“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

Learning that I could not bear children, I was overcome with grief. Not only did I want to have children, I wanted to have them years ago. I was impatient, sorrowful and angry. Unbeknownst to me, our older daughter was born (on the other side of the world) the next month. Almost 3 years later, we found and adopted her and our younger daughter. Although I had not recognized God’s plan, I indeed needed the time to weep for what I had lost. After the weeping came a great rejoicing for God’s gift of not just one, but two beautiful daughters!

DEAR LORD, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ABUNDANT GIFTS. HELP US TO TRUST IN YOU AND YOUR PLAN, ON YOUR TIME TABLE. AMEN.
