“Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it until it receives the early and the late rain.”

When am I going to learn? I should have known better but I thought that was the best I could do. Why does this work for everyone else and not me? All of us feel the pressure –
to be the ideal spouse, parent, friend, employee, and so on. Without hesitating we compare ourselves to those we respect or those we envy. We forget that God has laid out a path for us to follow which does not resemble that of anyone else. As faithful Christians we should look on obstacles as opportunities to strengthen our relationship with God. Why should we be so
concerned about time? God knows what events will unfold and when; our task is to follow His direction. Our lives are not unlike the tree that is tested by the weather; the final result will
make sense when we have lived the whole season.

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I KNOW THAT I IMPATIENTLY WANDER FROM YOUR PATH, NOT SEEKING THE DIRECTION YOU MEAN FOR ME TO FOLLOW. GRANT ME THE COURAGE TO TRAVEL THE PATH YOU HAVE LAID OUT. STRENGTHEN ME SO THAT I AM PATIENT AS YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WITH ME. MAY MY ACTIONS COME OUT OF
SELFLESS LOVE TO GLORIFY YOUR NAME. AMEN.
