“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the
body more than clothing? … For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all
these things shall be yours as well.”

This passage has always been one of my favorites. It seems so simple: Keep your eyes on the Kingdom of Heaven and everything else will fall into place. When the first hospital bills came in
after our son’s birth, I wondered how on earth we would be able to pay his medical expenses. That was the problem; I was thinking about earthly things and problems. When I turned my eyes and thoughts toward God, he provided for us. The bills were paid, the family was clothed and fed, and a roof remained over our heads. God knew that we needed to be sheltered, fed, and clothed, and that we had greater things to be “anxious” about.

THANK YOU FATHER FOR YOUR WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE. THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING FOR US IN EVERY WAY, SO THAT WE MIGHT KEEP OUR FOCUS WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE. HELP US TO NOT FRET OVER THE LITTLE THINGS, WHICH AT THE TIME MAY NOT SEEM LITTLE. RATHER, HELP US TO REMEMBER THAT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING AND SEE ALL AND WILL KEEP US SAFE AND PROTECTED. AGAIN, THANK YOU. AMEN.
