“I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

As I go through my day, sometimes I find myself more concerned with the manna and the desert in my life than the bread that came down from heaven in Jesus. What time is the meeting? Who’s on hold? What’s the tee time? What’s in it for me? These things can come before – Did I hurt someone’s feelings? How am I doing spiritually today? Has God put someone or something in my path today that needs my attention?

HOLY LORD, HELP ME TO EAT OF YOUR SPIRITUAL BREAD TODAY AND TO ALIGN MY WILL WITH YOUR WILL. AMEN.
