For these and all your children, God we pray. We lift up the broken hearts and the forgotten lives, the ones for whom you sent Jesus into the world. We pray that in our busy celebrations this season, we carve out the time to serve those who matter to you most. In so doing, may our lives be made more in the image of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

On your right

Who is your right hand man? the person on our right should be one we can lean on, one who will guide our path, or one who is there for us in the time of need. In Psalm 16:8 it says "I have set the Lord continually before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

In biblical times, the right hand was the most distinguished position, reserved for one's chief advisor & supporter. That's what God is. God is our advisor and our supporter and we should take advantage of that. It seems that when we face troubles we look to our left and seek our own advice and our own support. Our way never works, that's why David wrote in the book of Psalms 25:4 "Make me know your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths."

God stands at the right hand of the needy (Psalm 109:31) and right now we need God. Stop stressing, stop worrying, stop hurting, stop lying, stop cheating, stop using drugs, stop living the way you are living, just stop! Stop! STOP! Turn to your right hand & let God help you. Now is the right time.
