New Day in Christ is celebrating 10 years of ministry! Look what God has done!

New Day in Christ Ministries is a 501(c)3 Christian outreach organization, which was not our idea! Inspired and brought about by the Holy Spirit, our mission is simply to share the Good News of Jesus Christ's redemptive love for each individual through the gift of a free daily devotional guide. The guide is a friendly daily conversation from a regular person sharing their walk with you, our brother or sister in Christ, wherever you are, whatever your circumstances might be.

The daily devotional guide, called "A New Day in Christ," was developed in 1999 by members and friends of the church community and offered free to anyone who would write, call, email, or fax their complete mailing information.

Over the years this resource has become a widely known daily prayer resource in over 2000 of our nation's jails and prisons. We have attempted to follow God's direction of this ministry, as requests from prisoners have become the primary focus of the New Day in Christ Ministries.

In 2008, New Day in Christ Ministries distributed 23,500 devotional guides across the United States. Approximately two-thirds of those were flat-bound paperback editions that were sent to individuals incarcerated in jails or prisons. The remaining one-third were the original spiral bound version sent to friends and family members in society.

33% of the devotional guides distributed in 2008 were addressed to someone within the state of Texas. Residents of Louisiana, Ohio, Florida, Mississippi and California made up an additional 27%, with the remainder being addressed to people all across the United States.

In 2009, our goal is to produce a daily devotional in Spanish, and with the help of Rev. Gloria Villa Diaz, we are blessed to be working toward that goal.
